This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Field Operations, Baltimore Field Office, Mission Support Division, located in Baltimore, Maryland. In this position, you will strengthen the Department's ability to protect the homeland by becoming a valuable member of a team of administrative professionals. Your job may include managing property management program; conducting inventories and records management; reviewing and processing lost, stolen, destroyed or missing property; researching suppliers and working with requesters to procure goods and services; executing purchases, conducting reconciliation, and maintaining necessary documents; overseeing the ordering, receiving, inventorying, transferring, excessing and managing fleet vehicles; and producing various fleet reports and responsible for fleet maintenance. This position starts at a salary of $84,601.00 (GS-11, Step 1) to $131,826.00 (GS-12, Step 10).

Your resume must explicitly indicate how you meet the requirements for this position, otherwise you will be found ineligible. You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as reviewing monthly property reports to prevent overcharging and misuse, and ensuring required documents are in compliance with rules, regulations, agency directives and procedures. Assisting in researching suppliers to procure goods / services, creating requisitions, and identifying inventory deficiencies. Assisting in various fleet management responsibilities to include performing audits, compiling reports, and inventorying, and managing fleet vehicles and records. Recording facility repair requests in the management system to ensure efficient coordination of facility repairs, and assisting in processing environmental, security, and safety inspections, and tracking findings. You qualify for the GS-12 grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as utilizing databases to conduct management requested analyses of data. Conducting inventory and records management in accordance with local and higher headquarters directives and prepares various property reports using SAP or other similar programs. Performing basic supplies research and performs basic tasks associated with creating requisitions and forwards for approval. You are required to submit proof of your claim if you are substituting education for experience. Combinations of successfully completed post-high school education and experience may be used to meet total qualification requirements for the GS-11 grade level, and may be computed by first determining your total qualifying experience as a percentage of the experience required for the grade level; then determining the your education as a percentage of the education required for the grade level; and then adding the two percentages. The total percentages must equal at least 100 percent to qualify for that grade level. Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify for grade GS-11.
There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by CBP. Individuals are required to have physically resided in the United States or its protectorates for at least three of the last five years.
