State & Local Tax Senior Associate (Income & Franchise Tax) - Remote Eligible

Location : All Locations in the United States

Work Arrangement : Remote, In-office or Hybrid

As a member of the National Tax Office State & Local Team, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of state and local income / franchise tax projects, including tax planning, restructuring, transaction advisory, audit defense and appeals, state tax return review, taxability research, writing and correspondence.

A typical day as an Income / Franchise Tax Senior Associate might include the following :

• Research, review, and prepare deliverables concerning state and local income / franchise tax matters.
• Assist clients with various state income tax compliance matters including return review.
• Assist clients with state and local tax controversies including preparing clients for discussions with auditors, assisting with the representation of clients at administrative appeals, appeal meetings and preparing written protests.
• Assist with the negotiation and drafting of settlement terms and ruling requests with state and local taxing authorities.
• Assist with the identification and presentation of multistate tax opportunities to internal and external clients.
• Manage voluntary disclosure projects.
• Assist with buy and sell-side transaction advisory projects.
• Develop multistate expertise by keeping current with latest legislation and case law related to state income / franchise tax.
• Assist with the preparation of thought leadership insights and articles for both internal and external distribution
• Participate in practice development activities focused on forming strong relationships with clients, prospective clients and governmental personnel.
• Secondary assistance with non-income franchise service areas such as sales and use tax, credits and incentives, and property tax

Compensation : $72,000-$120,000

Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local / state regulations regarding displaying ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
