Every day, you will make a difference in the Operating Room with your tenacity and attention to detail, serving patients from across the state and beyond.
Schedule : Full-time evening shifts with options for 8 or 10-hour shifts, primarily Monday to Friday, including on-call duties mainly overnight and some weekends. Call requirements may fluctuate based on staffing needs, expecting a 30-minute arrival time when on call.
Major Responsibilities :
Prepare and maintain a clean, safe, and efficient surgical environment using aseptic techniques.Assist in a variety of procedures, anticipating surgeons' needs and providing necessary support.Ensure environmental disinfection and the readiness of equipment for surgical procedures.Act as a Second Assistant when necessary and transport patients, equipment, and supplies.Maintain specialty carts, checking for equipment functionality and sterility.Support appropriate patient positioning and transfer, adhering to safety protocols.Exhibit knowledge and skills to cater to patients of all ages.Licensure and Certification :
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by the AHA required within 6 months unless waived by department leader.Education and Experience :
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program.No prior experience required.Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :
Understanding of aseptic techniques and operating room equipment.Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.Basic computer skills.Commitment to maintain annual educational requirements.Physical Requirements :
