Key Responsibilities :

• Clinical and Surgical Duties

Clinic Hours

The surgeon will work full-time in the clinic from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. During these hours, the focus will be on patient consultations, pre-operative planning, and post-operative care.

• Surgical Duties

OR time will be scheduled as operating room blocks become available. The surgeon will be expected to perform a variety of plastic surgery procedures with a particular emphasis on breast surgery.

• Call Coverage

The position includes night call duties after clinic hours. This is primarily beeper call, with the main clinician taking most of the calls. However, the locum surgeon may be asked to cover 24-hour beeper call on weekends when the main clinician is unavailable. Typically, call volume is low, with the possibility of handling issues via phone without the need to come in.

Qualifications and Requirements :

• Board Certification

Candidates must be board certified in Plastic Surgery.

• Licensure

Must hold an active medical license in

California (CA)

• Certifications

BLS is required.

• Other certifications like ABLS ACLS ATLS , and PALS are not necessary for this position.
• Hospital Privileges

Hospital or surgery center privileges are required, though temporary privileges are not available. The credentialing process is estimated to take 60-90 days, so candidates should be prepared for this timeframe.

• Experience

The ideal candidate should have significant experience in breast surgery and be comfortable handling both routine and complex cases.
