Sr Finance Manager Consolidations Lead
The Sr Finance Manager Consolidations Lead is charged with overseeing the performance of the AERO SBG (Strategic Business Group) consolidation process while managing the key controls that support this consolidation. This role will focus on driving continuous improvement within the consolidation processes to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and compliance. The ideal candidate will possess robust financial acumen and a strategic mindset, enabling them to enhance financial performance through effective system management.
Key Responsibilities :
1. Performance of SBG Consolidation :
- Oversee and manage the end-to-end consolidation process for the Strategic Business Group, ensuring timely, accurate, and compliant reporting.
- Analyze consolidated financial statements to identify trends, variances, and insights that drive business decisions.
- Collaborate with finance teams to ensure alignment of consolidation practices with business objectives and regulatory standards.
2. Management of Key Controls :
Design, implement, and maintain key controls around the consolidation process to safeguard the integrity of financial reporting.Conduct regular reviews and updates of controls to ensure they are effective and aligned with changing business and regulatory requirements.Facilitate internal audits and prepare for external audits concerning consolidation practices.3. Driving Continuous Improvement :
Identify opportunities for improvement in the consolidation processes to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.Lead cross-functional projects aimed at implementing process improvements, leveraging technology and best practices.Establish performance metrics to monitor the efficiency and effectiveness of consolidation activities, making data-driven recommendations for enhancements.4. Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement :
Engage with various stakeholders, including finance, operations, and senior management, to gather input and ensure that consolidation supports broader organizational goals.Provide training and support to finance teams on consolidation processes and best practices.Act as the liaison between finance and IT to ensure that finance systems support the consolidation requirements, including system upgrades and integrations.5. Reporting and Compliance :
Ensure compliance with financial reporting standards and internal policies throughout the consolidation process.Prepare and present consolidated financial reports to senior management, offering insights and recommendations based on the analysis of results.Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry trends that impact consolidation and report these developments to the finance leadership team.Qualifications :
