TOP (3) REQUIRED SKILLSETS :

Experience building data services and streaming data pipelines in AWS using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) and distributed data processing frameworks (i.e. Spark)

Strong proficiency in Python and SQL with exposure to functional and object-oriented programming languages

Strong communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to research and operate independently

NICE TO HAVE SKILLSETS :

Experience using, building, and maintaining REST APIs

Experience with relational and non-relational databases (document stores, key-value stores)

Experience with data warehousing (Snowflake)

Experience working with JSON and XML

Knowledge of software engineering best practices including DevOps, version control, and CI / CD

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Data Engineer. This role is pivotal in developing and maintaining data pipelines and applications that deliver diagnostic results to our customers in near real-time.

Reporting and Collaboration

This position reports directly to the development manager while working on a cross-functional agile development team, and involves collaboration with other engineering, product, quality, and customer-facing software teams and roles.

Minimum Qualifications

15+ years of data engineering experience

Experience building and maintaining public cloud-based data pipelines and applications

Proficiency in Python and SQL

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to research and operate independently

Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
