General Purpose of Job :
The Polysomnography Technologist will conduct all common duties as a nighttime sleep tech in the pediatric sleep center. Duties include greeting patients; sleep study acquisition; recognizing medical conditions that would require urgent intervention; scoring studies and follow all the sleep lab protocols; cleaning equipment; partake in the sleep center's quality improvement activities.

- Greets patients and their families at beginning of study.
- Performs hook-ups and acquisition of studies successfully in various pediatric age groups.
- Recognizes common medical emergencies that may require intervention (cardiac arrhythmias, seizures, respiratory distress, severe sleep disordered breathing)
- Cleans equipment at the end of the study to the standards required.
- Basic scoring of studies will be required, and on occasions, complete scoring may be necessary during acquisition of the study.
- Technical troubleshooting and escalating appropriately.
- Partake in quality maintenance and improvement activities of the sleep center.
Education and / or Experience :
Select the one level of education and / or experience needed to successfully accomplish the essential duties of this job. Delete those that do not apply.2+ years of experience required.Pediatric experience preferred.Certificates, Licenses, Registrations.
Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT), or (RST), or (RRT-SDS) required.Basic Cardiovascular Life Support (BLS)
