We are seeking a detail-oriented
- Accessibility Remediation Specialist
- to review and update
Microsoft Word and PDF documents to meet ADA WCAG 2.1 AA and Section 508 accessibility
standards. This role ensures our public-facing documents are fully accessible properly tagged and
compliant with current accessibility guidelines.

Key ResponsibilitiesRemediate Word and PDF documents for accessibility complianceApply correct heading structure ALT text reading order tagging bookmarks and metadataConvert documents cleanly between Word and PDF while maintaining accessibilityIdentify accessibility issues and correct formatting problemsCommunicate with content owners to clarify intent or resolve issuesEnsure all deliverables meet Section 508 / WCAG 2.1 Level AA standardsUse Accessibility Checkers to validate documentsh2.
Required Skills & QualificationsStrong knowledge ofMicrosoft Word accessibility features(styles headings tables lists alt text)Advanced experience inAdobe Acrobat Pro(tagging reading order accessibility toolsremediation)
Understanding ofSection 508 WCAG 2.1 AAand ADA requirementsAbility to remediate complex documents including forms tables and multi-section reportsHigh attention to detail and strong quality assurance skillsAbility to work independently and meet deadlinesExperience with large organizations or government / public sector is a plush2.
