Position Summary

The Electrophysiology Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for developing, implementing and evaluating a plan of patient care utilizing ANA Standards and the Nursing Process. This position acts as a patient advocate and provides support, information and direct care. The Electrophysiology RN educates patients and families on significant cardiology diagnoses and procedures. This position also treats cardiovascular events and assists in performing diagnostic tests such as EKG's. They will interact with patients as well as families both pre- and post-operatively. The RN evaluates and monitors heart related devices such as pacemakers, defibrillators, and cardiac monitors. They will also monitor patient vitals and EKG readings as well as assess and interpret lab results.

Position Requirements

• Five (5) years inpatient cardiology-based experience such as Progressive Cardiac Unit, Critical Care Unit, Cardiac Step Down, Cardiology Lab Environment, etc. required.
• Three (3) years' experience reading and interpreting telemetry required.
• Experience in a cardiology based medical office setting preferred.
