We are seeking a Family Law Associate Attorney to join our team. Applicants must be licensed to practice law in North Carolina and have a passion for practicing family law specifically. We are looking for candidates who are eager to learn from experienced mentors, work well in a collaborative environment, and confidently navigate Local Rules as they apply to family law matters. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly, both in writing and verbally, with clients and team members are essential.

Responsibilities included but not limited to :
- Drafting pleadings or other documents / charts using Microsoft Word and Excel;
- Organizing documents for discovery responses or document exchange;
- Review pleadings, letters, and other case related documents prepared by paralegals or other office staff for execution.
- Researching case law, building a case, lodging objections, and preparing responses for the same.
- Communicating directly with opposing counsel and / or clients;
- Reviewing calendar for deadlines and preparing for deadlines;
- Exhibit preparation for court; and,
- Make occasional court appearances for pretrials, divorces, or other minor motions.
Qualifications :
Must be Licensed in NC (Licensed in SC is a plus)Must have a minimum of 1-3 years of Family Law experienceSelf-motivated and organized while working through multiple projects and prioritizing tasks assigned; andAbility to draft written communication or verbal communication with other office staff, as well as clients and opposing attorneys.Job Type : Full-time
