Job Description & Requirements Specialty : ICU - Intensive Care Unit Discipline : RN Start Date : 12 / 15 / 2025 Duration : 9 weeks 40 hours per week Shift : 8 hours, nights Employment Type : Travel Opportunity : RN - ICU Job Details : Provide competent clinical nursing care consistent with professional standards in ICU setting One year of nursing experience required Trauma Level 1 experience required Coordinate and deliver patient care utilizing the nursing process in hospital setting Assess patient readiness to learn and developmental level affecting ability to learn Demonstrate competence in care of patients with complex problems including physical, psychosocial, educational and safety aspects Perform bedside point of care testing as required for patient care plan Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs Participate in identifying and meeting learning needs through education programs Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members in evaluation of patient care Assess and anticipate discharge needs of individual patients and families Required certifications : North Carolina RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC) Nursing diploma, ADN, or ASN from accredited school required; BSN or MSN preferred Utilize healthcare organization standards, policies and procedures in delivery of care Participate in development and achievement of unit goals and performance improvement activities Facility : This major academic medical center serves as a premier healthcare institution offering comprehensive medical services and advanced patient care.
