Position Overview :
The purpose of the Plant Analyst's role is to conduct monthly closings, analysis, and account reconciliations for a medium plant, two small plants or a large plant with multiple accountants. The Plant Analyst is responsible for analysis of results and preparation of forecast for plant and business segments, capital and technical project accounting, standard cost and budget development and participates in process improvement activities.
Your Day-to-Day :
Execute full financial support for plant managementConduct detailed project capital and expense trackingPrepare monthly forecasting and annual operating planReview, analyze and approve facility maintenance spendConduct month-end and year-end closing activitiesAssist in the development of plant BOMs, routings, and standardsDrive development of plant financial operating planPrepare and analyze month-end reports and project updatesWork closely with IT team to help resolve system issuesReconcile related general ledger accountsCreate and improve financial processes and procedures for plant operationsPerform financial and strategic analysis to enable accurate business decisions and / or investmentsIdentify and drive cost reduction and working capital opportunitiesOverseas plant procurementMay be required to perform other related duties as assignedWhat You Bring to the Team :Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting with a minimum of 5 years of finance / accounting experienceExperience with cost accounting (standard costing), budgeting, forecasting, month-end and year-end close activities and working with inventory managementProficient in Microsoft Word, Excel (formulas, V-Lookups, Pivot tables), PowerPoint, OutlookDemonstrated analytical abilityStrong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skillsWorking knowledge of SAP or ERP systems preferredAbility to work independently and in a team environmentAbility to interface at all levels of the organization, both internally and externallyModerate travel required (11 - 29 days per year)Work environment is typical of an office setting
