- Cardiac Progressive Care Stepdown (IMCU / PCU) Patient Population : Post-op 1-day open / closed heart patients Cardiothoracic and vascular patients Progressive cardiac care with telemetry monitoring Flexibility : Must be willing to float to similar units Duration : 13 weeks minimum 🌟 Responsibilities Provide advanced care for post-op cardiac patients in a high-acuity, progressive care environment Monitor telemetry and manage cardiac and vascular patients’ progress Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient outcomes Document care accurately in EPIC EMR (recent experience required) 📋 Requirements Certifications (required) : BLS, ACLS, NIH Stroke Scale (must be completed prior to start) Preferred Certification : PCCN Experience : Minimum 2 years of nursing experience, including 1 year in IMCU / PCU Prior experience in a large academic teaching facility is required Strong background in cardiothoracic, vascular, and post-op heart surgery care Documentation : Complete work history, including bed count, EMR used, and facility type, with any gaps over 30 days explained 🚦 Additional Notes No block schedules permitted Reliable personal or rental vehicle required (public transportation is not accessible) Vehicles must have all-season or snow tires (November–April) 🏠 Why Choose TLC Nursing?
