Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to : Work with and advise attorneys on initiatives that advance attorney and the firm’s name recognition, including but not limited to, practice and industry-focused campaigns; client targeting and effective cross-selling across practices, industries, and offices; thought leadership; memberships; leadership programs / positions; media / public relations; internal and external facing events; communications (legal alerts, internal and external facing newsletters, blogs); and nominations (e.g., Chambers, Legal 500, IFLR) / surveys Help nurture market-specific partnerships, generate qualified leads, provide value-added services to existing and prospective clients Support the onboarding and integration of lateral partners Train and coach on topics relevant to the business development and marketing skills to advance attorney efforts, including client / prospective client visits, pitches, and presentations Maintain the firm’s branding strategy and related creative Oversee the effective use of the firm’s CRM system, Interaction, and company store, AwardCo. Working with the firm’s research services group, gather competitive intelligence and research on prospective clients Assist in the development and management of marketing and business development budgets Maintain processes for regularly reporting progress / ROI on the department plan All other duties and projects as assigned or required Experience and Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree required (relevant advanced degree preferred, e.g., MBA, J.D.) At least 10 years of marketing / business development leadership experience, including managing teams in law or other professional services firms Develops and maintains a cooperative working relationship with members of the firm, clients, prospective clients, referral sources, and outside vendor contacts Able to effectively manage marketing and business development initiatives through to execution Helps recruit, interview, hire, and train staff in the department Anticipates and balances the workload based upon general guidelines established Consistently projects a positive, professional attitude and approach to the job, firm, and co-workers Snell & Wilmer offers a competitive performance-based compensation and a generous benefits package starting on your first day.
