Job description

Well-established Fairfield County Landscape company is looking for a skilled and dependable Horticulturalist with strong plant knowledge and a passion for creating and maintaining beautiful, healthy landscapes.

Qualifications :

Extensive knowledge in plant and tree healthcare.
Proven experience as a Horticulturalist and Pruning Specialist.
Skilled in proper pruning techniques for trees, shrubs, and ornamentals.
Excellent people skills — able to communicate clearly and maintain a professional and friendly relationship with clients and team members.
Strong time-management and organizational abilities.
Reliable and detail oriented. Takes pride in quality work.
Hands-on and proactive problem solver.
Compensation is commensurate with experience (DOE)

Job Requirements

Responsibilities include :

Pruning, and maintaining a variety of plant species.

Guide staff in proper techniques, seasonal practices, and long-term care of landscapes.

Evaluate quality of work to ensure standards in planting and soil health.

Assessing plant health and providing ongoing recommendations & solutions.

Working independently and as part of a small team.

Prompt, early morning start times.

Maintain busy schedule, caring for client properties weekly / monthly

Must be a licensed driver.
