Are you an enthusiastic, licensed clinician looking to lead transformative mental health and developmental programs for young children aged 0-5? Join We Care Services for Children as our Director of Mental Health and make a lasting impact on families in need.

We Care Services for Children (We Care) is seeking a Director of Mental Health to oversee all mental health programs for children aged 0-5. Our programs include therapy, mental health consultation, wraparound, and school-based inclusion primarily for children from lower-income families. As Director, you will manage a large clinical staff and ensure high quality and effectiveness of services. The Director also determines operating policies and practices, and builds strong partnerships with funding and contracting agencies. This position reports to the Executive Director, and is a full-time, hybrid position based in Concord. CA. Starting pay is $120,000+ with excellent benefits.

Summary of Qualifications :

• 1. California licensure as an LCSW, MFT, or Psychologist;
• 2. Experience managing a mental health program - preferably serving children ages 0-5;
• 3. Enthusiastic interest in supporting the mission of We Care Services for Children;
• 4. Demonstrated supervisory skills with a strong commitment to collaboration and Reflective Supervision;
• 5. Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills demonstrated by the ability to communicate effectively and relate congenially with stakeholders, parents, children, clinic staff and providers, and community referral representatives;
• 6. Thorough knowledge of the pediatric mental health system and commitment to its standards, including patient / client confidentiality, mandated reporting requirements, and QA standards and procedures;
• 7. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with different components of the mental health system;
• 8. Demonstrated leadership skills as a self-starter and organizational problem-solver who leads by example. Strong commitment to the quality and reliability of personal work, effective internal communication, follow-through, and routinely managing multiple priorities;

9. Computer proficiency, including intermediate to advanced computer skills with Google Docs, MS Outlook, Word, and Excel, and familiarity with EHR.

10. Must pass physical exam and health screen with TB test; fingerprint clearance and background check; and must maintain current certification in First Aid and CPR.
