• As an R&D Engineer I at TE Connectivity, you will be part of our Research and Development Engineering Group in Wilsonville, Oregon. You will work closely with current and potential customers to assess design proposals and manufacturing feasibility. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about applying engineering principles to provide innovative solutions to design and manufacturing challenges in the medical device industry.

Responsibilities

At TE Connectivity, you’ll be part of a global collaborative culture where your innovative approach and actions have the potential to transform the world of tomorrow. In this role you’ll :

Assist in developing TE manufacturing capabilities to provide customers with the latest industry technology and highest levels of product quality

Learn and apply metal manufacturing processes

Work cross-functionally with Manufacturing Engineering, Operations, and Quality teams

Apply Design for Manufacturing knowledge to contribute to preliminary design proposals

Assist in developing innovative solutions to technical problems

Participate in conceptualization, rapid prototyping, and manufacturing projects

Utilize analytical techniques to support product design optimization

Contribute to project prioritization and resource management

You’re the kind of person we are looking for if you :

Have earned a high school diploma or GED

Are currently enrolled in, or pursuing, a BA / BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering from an accredited college or university—or have equivalent work experience (gap year students may also be considered).

Preferably have prior internship experience or have completed a major project

Are authorized to work in the U.S.
