The Medical Director will be responsible for overseeing clinic quality and medical patient care services to ensure quality patient outcomes. The Medical Director will work collaboratively with clinic leaders (Medical, Dental and Behavioral Health) to ensure compliance with clinic policies, procedures and protocols. The Medical Director will dedicate 70‑80% of their time to direct patient care and 20‑30% to administrative leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide clinical leadership, oversight and direction for clinical programs and services, working with the Clinic Operations Officer and departmental Directors to assure that required primary care services are made readily available to patients.Ensure that Davis Street provides high quality clinical care, including adherence to generally accepted clinical practices.Provide guidance with budget development, cost containment and productivity efforts, including participation in planning and budgeting process with C‑Suite and Board of Directors to identify opportunities, priorities, goals, and objectives of health care.Working with the clinic leadership, ensure timely updates to Davis Street policies and procedures related to the licensed staff and the credentialing and appointment / reappointment process.Oversee the evaluation of and periodic review of all members of the medical staff.Provides indirect patient care through collaboration with providers by phone, in‑person or electronic consultations at all times.Perform physician direct patient care, following established Davis Street adopted standards of care.Other duties as assigned.QUALIFICATIONS
Graduate from an accredited school of Medicine with a MD or DO degreeCurrent DEA licenseCurrent CPR / BLS certification3 years management / leadership experience within the healthcare industryFQHC experience preferredExperience in clinic management, staff supervision and leading a teamProficient using MS Office and EMR softwareExperience leading teams and coaching employees toward successful outcomesDedicated to ensuring the highest quality of care to patientsPersonal integrity manifested in a positive and credible mannerSensitivity to and experience working with diverse racial / ethnic communitiesExcellent written and oral communication skills and interpersonal skillsExperience working in multi‑disciplinary collaborativesDetail oriented, effective organizational skills and meets timetablesWillingness to work occasional evenings and / or weekends to participate in health fairs, and other special eventsCommitment to the mission and values of Davis StreetJob Type
