Cargo Handler

Forward Air is seeking capable and career-oriented individuals to work in our fast-paced shipping / dock operation. Our Cargo Handlers are responsible for loading and unloading freight on our trailers in a safe and timely manner. Frequent lifting, pulling, pushing, and carrying of freight is required. All necessary training and materials for this position are provided.

Core Responsibilities & Duties :

• Safely load and unload goods from trucks by forklift as well as by hand
• Organize dock space for incoming shipments
• Maintain inventory of shipments and cargo in the warehouse
• Pick, wrap, and stage orders to be shipped
• Stack goods in the correct storage lanes, following inventory control instructions
• Ensure loads are secure
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Crosstrain as needed to learn all warehouse functions
• Other duties as assigned
