Job Title : Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) - Outpatient Rehab
Job Summary :
We are seeking a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our outpatient rehabilitation team. In this role, you'll work under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality, hands-on care that helps patients recover strength, mobility, and independence. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for patient-centered therapy.
Key Responsibilities :
- Deliver physical therapy services as prescribed by the supervising Physical Therapist
- Assist with the implementation of individualized treatment plans
- Monitor and document patient progress, ensuring accuracy and timeliness
- Maintain open communication with the care team, patients, and families
- Prepare and maintain treatment areas, following all safety and cleanliness standards
- Support with patient scheduling, documentation, and administrative tasks as needed
- Follow all state and federal regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA standards
- Participate in continuing education and team in-services to stay current with clinical best practices
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Qualifications :
Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program (CAPTE)Current and valid state license / certification to practice as a PTACPR certification (or ability to obtain)Strong interpersonal, organizational, and documentation skillsAbility to work effectively in a team and independentlyComfortable lifting and supporting patients and performing physical tasks throughout the shiftPreferred Skills :
Previous experience in outpatient rehab or orthopedicsKnowledge of EMR systems and standard therapy equipmentFamiliarity with productivity tracking and insurance documentation
