Unit Overview : Join our vibrant 24-bed Neurosurgical Unit, where you'll care for a wide range of patients including :
Post-operative craniotomies for bleed evacuation, AVMs, and tumor resections.Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar spine surgeries.Hemorrhagic and ischemic stroke patients as part of our Comprehensive Stroke Program.A high volume of cervical and spinal surgery patients, in addition to medical overflow cases.As a part of the Aurora Neuroscience Innovation Institute (ANII), our unit provides exposure to advanced neurosurgical techniques and cutting-edge patient care.

Deliver and coordinate comprehensive, evidence-based patient care using the nursing process.Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a safe, therapeutic, and compassionate care environment.Apply clinical judgment and critical thinking to improve patient outcomes and experiences.Support a positive patient experience throughout the healthcare continuum.Why Join Us?

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care.Recognize and respond to significant changes in a patient’s condition swiftly and appropriately.Implement strategies that enhance patient safety and readiness to learn.Coordinate discharge plans using an interdisciplinary approach.Engage in continuous evaluation of patient, team, and unit outcomes.Enhance collaboration and communication among healthcare team members.Foster a culture of safety and report any incidents promptly.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and professional development activities.Qualifications :
Registered Nurse license in the applicable state.Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.Completion of an accredited nursing program.At least 1 year of clinical nursing experience.Skills Needed :
Ability to provide holistic patient-centered care and communication skills.Critical thinking and problem-solving aptitude.Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.Skills in delegation, collaboration, and team building.Physical Requirements :
