Medical Director, Specialty Care Division

SCOPE OF RESPONSIBILITIES The Specialty Care Medical Director is responsible for having direct oversight and leadership of the healthcare providers associated with the Specialty Care Centers, ensuring high standards of medical care.  In conjunction with the Specialty Care Center Manager, the Medical Director assists in guiding the clinic's strategic direction, and advances TVH’s Mission by developing clinical protocols, and works to improve the quality of patient care by enabling the healthcare providers to function in their roles as effectively and efficiently as possible.   ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.

• Clinical Leadership : The Specialty Care Medical Director is expected to lead by example and provide clinical leadership to the healthcare team, ensuring best practices in patient care and adherence to medical protocols.  Developing and implementing strategies and metrics for collaborative care design with the Primary Care Medical Directors to ensure optimal, outcomes-based care delivery to patients across the practice.
• Monitor and analyze clinical performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.  Facilitate regular clinician staff meetings to discuss operational issues, share updates, and promote teamwork.  Conduct regularly scheduled one on one meetings with clinicians to review overall performance and discuss any concerns and / or new ideas / opportunities for performance or operational improvements.  Conduct annual performance evaluations for all clinician staff within the care center.  Continuously advance the value-based mindset of the specialty group.
