Job Description

Pay Rate : $23.50 per hour.

(Additional $1.00 per hour for hours worked between 7 : 00pm and 11 : 59pm. Additional $2.00 per hour for hours worked between 12 : 00am-4 : 59am)

• Work from blueprints / schematics to perform maintenance / repair or install equipment.
• Report (in writing) materials and replacement  parts needed for jobs; prepare and maintain maintenance invoices as required.
• Direct / instruct subordinate employees still in training (i.e., Brood Maintenance Mechanics, Classes B and C).
• Wire and install motors, switches, fuses, lighting, relays and control device.
• Determine proper size and specifications of plumbing pipe, fittings, valves, etc., for both water and gas.
• Inspect and perform preventative maintenance repairs / corrections on pumps, motors, foggers, heaters, feed systems, vaporizers, injectors, etc.
• Install, connect, adjust, and calibrate (i.e., temperature, flow, pressure, etc.) pneumatic gauges, meters, etc.
• Troubleshoot and repair boilers.
• General cleaning and / or assisting other crews if required; and Maintaining safety, housekeeping, and sanitation and disease control requirements while performing job duties.
