Civil Estimator - Construction (Saratoga Springs)

Position Overview

Family owned company with 30+ year history and a strong backlog of projects seeks an experienced civil estimator to join their growing team.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects including earthwork, pump stations, wastewater treatment facilities, and more.
• Analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope of work and required resources.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather project information and clarify requirements.
• Utilize estimating software such as HCSS and Carlson to generate estimates.
• Conduct market research to assess material and labor costs for various civil construction tasks.
• Review and analyze subcontractor bids and proposals to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of bid proposals and presentations for clients.
• Monitor project budgets and provide regular updates on potential cost overruns or savings.
