Park Studios at GE Appliances is an in-house creative agency built on innovation, collaboration, and bold storytelling. We support some of the most recognizable appliance brands in the industry—Café, Monogram, GE Appliances, Profile, and Hotpoint—by developing impactful content that informs, educates, and inspires.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Designer to join our dynamic team. This fully on-site role based in Louisville, KY, will have lead responsibility for crafting visually compelling e-learning presentations and educational content, while also contributing to broader marketing and merchandising design projects. How You'll Create Possibilities
Training and Educational Content (Lead Accountability) :
Create engaging educational content, graphic design materials, and multi-page print documents using online e-learning platforms, PowerPoint, and Adobe Creative software.
Manage a variety of projects and media used to educate the internal GE Appliances sales team and customers, applying adult learning theory and best practices.
Develop concepts using storyboards and / or software for original creative content, focusing on effective usage of color, text, imagery, and layout.
Responsible for educational content supporting new products and the full catalog of previously launched appliances.
Collaborate with the Commercial Learning Team, Program Manager, Senior Trainer, and Videographer to assess needs and identify opportunities for content development, improvement, and efficiencies.
Brainstorm and strategize with teams on e-Learning presentations and storyboarding.
Maintain and organize project materials, ensuring content is up-to-date and easily accessible for the team and internal stakeholders.
Graphic Design and Production :
Design, layout, and format materials, including all pre-press work and print production coordination.
Iterate, refine, and finalize graphic designs, preparing them for print or digital execution.
Align with the creative team on graphics, fonts, layouts, and other creative choices.
Develop and / or acquire images used in a variety of creative projects, including advertisements, brochures, direct mail, identity design, presentations, electronic marketing, promotional displays, and signage.
Retouch digital images.
Proof files before distribution.
Handle file management, including resizing, formatting, and exporting files, and archiving digital and print files.
Manages design and sales marketing and merchandising collateral projects from initial concept to final pre-press preparation.
Brand Adherence & Collaboration :
Learn and adhere to multiple brand guidelines to accurately express the brands and represent the company.
Solicit feedback from the Park Studios Creative Manager and cross-functional teams to ensure designs meet visual brand standards.
Collaborate with the Park Studios Team, Brand, Product, and Merchandising stakeholders to guide creative storytelling of marketing / merchandising materials and graphic creations.
Communicate needs to cross-functional teams to successfully meet deadlines for assigned projects.
What You'll Bring to Our Team
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS :
Associate’s degree in Graphic Design, Communications, HR Management, Business Administration, or a related field is required. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
3 years of relevant work experience, preferably within an agency or creative team.
Graphic design, e-Learning, marketing, product sales, or adult education experience.
Technical experience with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Cloud design software with emphasis on PowerPoint, Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator.
Strong creativity and innovative design skills.
Organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to solve technical issues related to digital interfaces.
Collaborative, passionate, and self-motivated.
Ability to absorb, apply, and communicate design feedback to and from supervisors, peers, and clients.
DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS :
Pre-press experience and AI experience preferred.
Technical knowledge of photography; strong aesthetic sense.
WORK LOCATION :
This is a fully on-site position based at GE Appliances headquarters in Louisville, KY. Candidates must be available to work in the office Monday through Friday.
