REQUIRED PROCEDURES

Standard Pediatric Hospitalist procedures

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Licenses : Active Mississippi license

Board : Board Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics or American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics within 5 years post-residency

DEA : Active DEA Certification

Certifications : PALS & NRP required

Experience : Inpatient service to 24 patients within the past 24 months

Other Qualifications : MD degree required; three peer references (one from residency director or Chief of Medicine / Pediatrics, two from PCPs familiar with applicant's work)

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Provide inpatient pediatric care and manage hospital admissions

Perform pediatric medical evaluations and treatment plans

Coordinate with nursing and specialty staff as needed

Participate in on-call coverage as scheduled

Maintain accurate documentation in EMR and comply with hospital standards
