Automation Developer
Banesco USA is seeking an Automation Developer for our Information Technology Department.
Primary Job Duties
Automation Development & Implementation :
- Design, develop, test, and deploy Robotic Process Automation (RPA) solutions and automation workflows.
- Implement automation solutions using low-code / no-code platforms and traditional coding methods to enhance business activities.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries for data extraction, manipulation, and reporting to support automated processes.
- Ensure all automation solutions adhere to Banesco USA's established design and coding standards, maintaining solution and environment integrity.
- Actively participate in the full automation development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, debugging, and deployment.
Process Optimization & Documentation :
Collaborate with the Automation Team Lead and business units to identify, analyze, and document business processes suitable for automation.Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for functional requirements, solution design, and scope to ensure alignment with business needs.Assist in reviewing existing systems and processes to identify opportunities for enhancement through automation.Support & Collaboration :
Provide ongoing maintenance and support for existing automation solutions, ensuring operability, reliability, and continuous improvement.Maintain constant communication within the automation team, actively cross-training and sharing knowledge of new developments and solutions.Support business drivers and reporting needs through the development of web-based reports and ad-hoc analysis tools.Monitor daily jobs, systems, and scheduled automation activities to ensure smooth operation and proactively address issues.Assist with the support of critical banking systems and applications to ensure operational continuity.Compliance & Risk Management :
Ensure all developed solutions comply with the bank’s policies and procedures, including IT policy, Risk Management, and regulatory guidelines (e.g., BSA / AML).Implement appropriate security measures within automation solutions to protect sensitive data.Abide by the bank’s Enterprise Risk Management Policy (ERM), embedding risk identification and mitigation into daily activities.Professional Development :
Willingness to work occasionally outside of normal business hours as required to support critical deployments or incidents.Complete all assigned annual training programs to stay current with technology trends and banking regulations.Perform other functions and / or duties as assigned by the Automation Team Lead or VP, BI & Automation Manager.Job Requirements
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.Experience :
Minimum of three (3) years of hands-on experience in RPA development and maintenance, preferably with exposure to technologies like Blue Prism, UiPath, or Automation Anywhere.Minimum of three (3) years of experience in workflow development and maintenance, with exposure to platforms such as Pega Workflows or similar.Minimum of five (5) years of experience with database administration, SQL querying, and report generation (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, AS400).Proven experience in low-code development, creating solutions that enhance or support business activities.Familiarity with modern software development methodologies (Agile / Scrum).Technical Proficiencies :
RPA / Workflow Tools : Experience with Blue Prism RPA, Pega Workflows, or similar industry-leading platforms.Reporting & Utilities : Experience with reporting tools such as Power BI, SQL Reporting Services, Microsoft Visual Studio, and Cognos.Databases : Strong proficiency in SQL (client and server), Oracle, AS400.Programming : Basic understanding of scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell) is a plus.General Software : Advanced computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides).Skills & Competencies :
Language : Bilingual proficiency in both English and Spanish (fluency in speaking, understanding, reading, and writing) is highly preferred, given the bank's international and domestic client base in South Florida.Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences across all levels of the organization.Problem-Solving : Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical and non-technical issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions.Attention to Detail : Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in all aspects of work.Organization & Time Management : Ability to multi-task effectively, strong organizational skills, and excellent time-management and prioritizing abilities to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Customer Service : Strong customer service orientation, ensuring satisfaction of both internal and external stakeholders.Adaptability : Ability to work independently and under pressure, making sound decisions according to established guidelines and accomplishing tasks accurately and on time.Documentation : Proven ability to create clear, concise, and professional technical documents and reports for various audiences, including management.Benefits
