The Buyer role requires a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the purchasing field, with strong knowledge of international procurement & shipping (total cost model). This position requires outstanding organizational, interpersonal, communication, and follow-through skills, with proven ability to work independently. While managing the Kanban ordering process, this role also encompasses a broad range of responsibilities, including supplier communications, negotiation, document preparation, records management, financial administration, inventory management, new product introduction, and general problem-solving.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to :
Support complex Electro / Mechanical supply chain and inventory management system Plan inventory levels, locations, and execute all forecasting and planning programs Identify and execute inventory reduction / cost reduction projects Be a champion for material processes. Promote problem-solving for on-time delivery misses that occur daily, implement effective countermeasures, negotiate with Suppliers, and provide feedback to affected parties on delivery challenges.
The essential requirements of the job include :
5+ years' experience in purchasing and working with supply chain and inventory management systems (i.e., KANBAN, MRP, Oracle or similar inventory system, plus Advanced skills in Microsoft Products.
Excellent organizational skills and strong communication across teams and upwards through the organization.
Proven track record of prioritizing multiple tasks and assignments.
