Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

A full-time Speech Language Pathologist position is available at an elementary school in Norfolk, VA, offering a contract through the normal school year. This role provides the opportunity to work with a diverse group of students, including those with severe behavioral disorders, in settings ranging from functional to inclusion classrooms. The position is well-supported by a collaborative, team-oriented environment focused on comprehensive student care.

Key Responsibilities :

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and provide individualized therapy for students with diverse needs.
• Collaborate closely with support staff, teachers, and families to develop and implement effective communication strategies.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation in compliance with state and school policies.
• Adapt therapy techniques to meet the unique behavioral and developmental needs of students.

Qualifications and Experience :

Certified Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC credential.

Experience working with pediatric populations, specifically in school environments.

Valid Virginia SLP license or currently pending approval expected to be active by the start of school in August.

Familiarity with behavioral disorders and ability to work effectively in both functional and inclusion settings.

SLPA experience or collaboration is beneficial.
