We are a fast-growing restoration contractor based in Connecticut, delivering high-quality reconstruction and repair services following fire, water, and other property damage events. With approximately $6M in current annual construction volume and strong demand in our market, we are poised for strategic expansion. We are seeking an experienced Vice President of Construction to elevate our operations, strengthen our leadership team, and help guide the company through its next phase of growth.
Position Overview
The Vice President of Construction will oversee all construction operations, leading a team of (7) Project Managers and (1) Estimator. This executive-level leader will be responsible for establishing and improving processes, enhancing operational efficiency, driving performance, and ensuring exceptional project delivery across all restoration and reconstruction projects. The ideal candidate is a confident, process-oriented leader with strong communication skills and a proven track record in construction management. Ideally within restoration, insurance repair, or similar fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and direction for all construction operations.
- Develop, implement, and refine standardized processes, workflows, and performance metrics across the project management and estimating teams.
- Manage, mentor, and support seven Project Managers and one Estimator, fostering accountability, collaboration, and professional growth.
- Oversee project execution from planning through closeout to ensure quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with ownership and executive leadership to align construction operations with company growth goals.
- Review project schedules, budgets, job costs, and risk management strategies to maintain operational and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, insurance requirements, documentation standards, and industry best practices.
- Strengthen relationships with clients, adjusters, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Support recruiting, hiring, and onboarding efforts as project volume increases.
- Identify opportunities for operational improvements and technology adoption to scale the business effectively.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in construction management, including senior-level or director / VP leadership roles.Experience in restoration, insurance reconstruction, remediation, or related sectors (strongly preferred).Demonstrated success leading and developing project management teams.Proven ability to design and implement operational processes and systems.Strong understanding of job costing, scheduling, estimating, and project finance.Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growing organization.What We Offer
