Temp Housing Maintenance Mechanic

The incumbent performs maintenance on company owned housing while continuously aligning daily functions to reflect Kinross' values.

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on structures. Inspect housing to identify necessary repairs or maintenance. Assist in the construction of improvements to existing buildings. Carry out repairs, upgrades, or replacements of appliances and infrastructure as needed. Maintain tools and equipment in good working order, ensuring they are safe and operational. Maintain clean and safe working conditions, following all health and safety regulations. Collaborate with maintenance members to meet project deadlines. Perform tasks like painting, drywall repair, plumbing, flooring replacement, roof maintenance, and more. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members about the progress and completion of tasks. Respond to emergency maintenance requests and breakdowns promptly. Monitor stock levels of materials and supplies required for ongoing projects

High school diploma or equivalent Experience in construction, maintenance, or a related field. (preferred not required) Ability to use hand and power tools safely and effectively. Good physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy materials and work in various weather conditions. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Knowledge of health and safety standards and regulations in construction environments.

Works under direct supervision of the Process Maintenance Supervisor.
