Nurse Practitioner - Premier Ob-Gyn (Full-time)-Bowie

Position Objective :

The Nurse Practitioner will assess patients, formulate, implement, and evaluate care plans in the management of OB / Gyn patients. This advanced practitioner will evaluate the physical and psychosocial status of clients presenting for routine obstetrical and gynecological care, family planning or minor gynecological complaints by means of interview, health history, physical examination and diagnostic tests. Interprets data, develops and implements therapeutic plans. Duties will include minor procedures, educating patients, IUD insertions, Nexplanon insertions and routine annual exams. In addition to clinical responsibilities, all NPs participate in professional practice activities at varying levels.

• Provides education and counsel appropriate to the medical needs of the patient.
• Maintains current licensure and continuing medical education credits as required by Maryland State Law.
• Communicates treatment / therapy progress with individuals who have the responsibility or control in patient care intervention.

• Performs duties in accordance with established routine procedures as set forth by the State of Maryland, BPQA (Board of Physicians Quality Assurance), AMA (American Medical Association), HCFA, and AAHS policies.

Medium work. Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and / or up to 30 pounds of force frequently, and / or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
