Purchasing Manager
The Purchasing Manager is responsible for overseeing the procurement of goods and services essential for business operations. This role ensures cost-effective purchasing, maintains supplier relationships, and aligns procurement strategies with organizational goals.
Responsibilities :
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies that align with company objectives.
- Manage the procurement process from requisition to payment.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms with suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor supplier performance and resolve issues related to quality, delivery, or pricing.
- Analyze market trends to identify potential supply chain risks and cost-saving opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal departments to forecast demand, execute supply chain, lead time, and ensure timely procurement.
- Track records of purchases, pricing, and inventory.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
- Lead and mentor the purchasing team to achieve departmental goals.
Essential Skills :
8+ years of experience in purchasing or procurement.3+ years in management.Strong negotiation and communication skills.Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.Knowledge of sourcing and vendor management.Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.Experience in global sourcing / logistics, including tariff cost savings.ITAR compliance knowledge.Additional Skills & Qualifications :
Epicor knowledge is a must-have, unless extensive experience in PCBAs.Experience in contract manufacturing or electronics industry with PCBA components.Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field is highly preferred.High volume SKUs and working with multiple product lines.Certifications such as CPM, CPSM, or CIPS are a plus.Work Environment :
This position is 100% onsite, primarily at the headquarters, with periodic visits to three additional nearby buildings.The company operates in a fast-paced environment with nearly 800 employees.Working hours are from 8 AM to 5 PM.The site is ITAR compliant, and the purchasing team fluctuates between 3-6 buyers, recently steady at 6 due to increased volume.Job Type & Location :
