Cable Technician

Installer's job description involves installing equipment, systems, or products according to blueprints and safety standards. Key responsibilities include site preparation, performing installation tasks like plumbing, electrical work, or carpentry, testing the installation, and troubleshooting any issues that arise. They also manage materials, ensure quality control, and maintain accurate records.

Core responsibilities

• Installation : Assemble and install various products and systems, such as windows, doors, siding, roofing, plumbing fixtures, and electrical components.
• Site preparation : Prepare construction sites by cleaning up debris, digging trenches, and setting up temporary structures like scaffolding.
• Reading and interpreting : Follow blueprints, technical diagrams, manufacturer instructions, and safety protocols.
• Testing and troubleshooting : Inspect and test installed products to ensure proper function and perform repairs or upgrades as needed.
• Material and tool management : Handle, load, and unload materials, tools, and equipment. Maintain an inventory of supplies and ensure tools are in good condition.
• Quality control : Perform measurements, calculations, and quality control checks to ensure the installation meets project specifications and quality standards.
• Documentation : Maintain records of installation activities and complete all necessary job paperwork and reports.
• Safety and compliance : Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations on the job site. This can include participating in safety meetings and controlling site traffic.
• Collaboration : Work effectively with supervisors, contractors, and other skilled tradespeople.
• Client interaction : In some roles, this includes explaining the installation to the end-user or handling client communication

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Lebanon, IN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $28.00 / hr.
