Northrop Grumman Space Systems - Launch and Missile Defense Systems has an exciting career opportunity for a Scrum Master / Principal Scrum Master - Level 2 or 3 to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Huntsville, AL.

Position Overview :

The selected Scrum Master will be responsible for facilitating all team level events (PI Planning Team Breakouts, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Feature Elaboration, Sprint Review and Retrospectives) for the MASC-F (Modeling and Simulation -Framework) team.

Essential Functions :

Facilitate all team level events (PI Planning Team Breakouts, Sprint Planning, Daily Stand Up, Feature Elaboration, Sprint Review & Retro)

Provides timely and accurate reporting of impediments, blockers, and risks to their Release Train Engineer

Work with Release Train Engineer to set performance and growth targets for their teams

Guides mentoring and development of agile team members

Participate in Scrum of Scrums, Inspect and Adapt, and any ad hoc sessions called by RTE or Agile Coach

Responsible for coordinating cross-team collaboration and dependencies and reporting them to the RTE

Ensures team work, progress, and artifacts are transparent to all designated stakeholders

This requisition may be filled at either a Scrum Master or a Principal Scrum Master level.

Basic Qualifications for a Scrum Master - Level 2 :

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 2 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 0 years of related experience.

Familiar with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Able to effectively communicate across all levels of the program

Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum workflow and Kanban

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies

Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs.

Basic Qualifications for a Principal Scrum Master - Level 3 :

Bachelor's Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree in a STEM discipline and 3 years of related experience, or 1 years and a PhD.

Experienced working with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe)

Able to effectively communicate across all levels of the program

Strong knowledge of Agile Scrum workflow and Kanban

Strong problem solving and analytical skills

Ability to lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies

Ability and willingness to travel up-to 10% to support business needs.

Preferred Qualifications :

SAFe Scrum Master certification

Experience with Jira - issue tracking and agile project management, or similar tool

Ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams

Familiar with Agile project tools Verison1 / Agility or Jira

Support or experience with DevSecOps / Development

A current active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance.

Primary Level Salary Range : $85,400.00 - $128,000.00

Secondary Level Salary Range : $105,400.00 - $158,000.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
