LocumJobsOnline is working with Barton Associates to find a qualified Neurosurgery PA in Virginia!

About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Neurological Surgery Physician Assistant for a 63-day locum tenens assignment in Virginia, starting Nov 24, 2025. This opportunity features a 7 on / 7 off night shift rotation (7pm-7am), providing pre-op and post-op rounding support for neurosurgery patients across two hospital locations.

Responsibilities and Duties

Perform pre-operative and post-operative rounding for neurosurgery patients

Provide comprehensive patient assessments and monitor progress

Collaborate closely with neurosurgeons and interdisciplinary teams

Document patient care and clinical findings thoroughly

Flexibly work across two hospital sites as assigned

Additional Information

Active Virginia Physician Assistant license required

Must have strong experience with neurosurgery patients

Prefer candidates with experience using Epic EMR

Board certification in Neurological Surgery required

Must be comfortable with a 7 on / 7 off night shift schedule

No operating room duties
