Our work depends on Geospatial Systems Software Engineer joining our team to support our Department of Defense (DoD) customer in multiple regions of the Continental United States (CONUS).
HOW A GEOSPATIAL SYSTEMS SOFTWARE ENGINEER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Customize, deploy, and test enterprise GIS applications
- Assess and support Risk Management Frameworks for tasks related to authentication and authorization
- Provide accesses based on user roles and user types in ArcGIS Enterprise
- Perform software development in Python, C#, C++, HTML, and JavaScript and write software documentation to design specifications (user manuals, technical updates in GitLab, use of SharePoint, etc.) supporting the technical editor team and configuration management
- Designs and implements geospatial data acquisition, cleaning, preparation, and conversion procedures
- Ensures the stability, integrity and efficient operation of systems associated with AI / ML / DL
- Implements and monitors model benchmarks for training data management and model accuracy
- Participate in Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) programs and oversee design and code reviews, database reviews, and other QA / QC activities throughout the project life cycle
- Perform detailed software design and detailed database conversion design, and are directly involved in the coding and implementation of the more complex and strategic portions of application software and database conversion projects

Required Skills :
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, sciences or other businessGIS related field experience and 5 - 10 years of technical experienceBackground in requirements analysis, design, and software development methodologies; documentation standards; configuration management; DoD software policies; and DoD test and evaluation requirements; distributed systems, modeling and simulation, and resource utilization assessment. Experience using Git / GitLab / GitHubExperience with DevOps and DevSecOps processes and workflowsExperience in AGILE methodologiesContainerization experience and knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShiftDemonstrated experience using COTS exploitation software such as ENVI, RemoteView, ArcGIS, Skyline Software, Erdas Imagine) in both Windows / Linux operating environmentsThorough understanding of Geospatial Information Systems (GIS) software (ArcGIS Pro, Desktop, Enterprise), Quantam GIS (QGIS), GeoServer, PostGIS (PostgreSQL), as well as software engineering and programming for GIS systems (SQL, Python, JavaScript, HTML) in large computer and minicomputer and microprocessor systems supporting a broad base of applicationsDemonstrated ability to creatively solve technical problemsDemonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a small teamMust have active Secret or TS / SCI clearanceUS CITIZENSHIP REQUIREDGDIT IS YOUR PLACE :

This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
