Tipper Operator
Located in Colbert, Georgia, the Madison Biomass Facility also produces 55 net megawatts of renewable energy by transforming responsibly harvested wood biomass into electricity. This position involves operating tipper equipment, inspecting incoming deliveries, monitoring fuel quality, and maintaining accurate records while adhering to strict safety protocols. Your scope of responsibility as Tipper Operator includes the following primary functions :
NAES Safe

Employees must also adhere to all safety warnings and posted signs while on company property. Additionally, they are required to follow all NAES safety rules and procedures. Adherence to these safety responsibilities is one of the key factors in the evaluation of each employee's performance.
Working Relationships
The Tipper Operator reports to the Operations Superintendent and responds to directions from the Operations Manager and Site Manager.
Physical Requirements and Working Conditions
Physical requirements include standing and sitting for extended periods, climbing stairs and ladders, operating equipment from elevated platforms or cabs at varying heights, and routinely lifting up to 50 pounds.
Work takes place in an industrial environment that may require entering confined spaces, maneuvering through tight areas, and handling hazardous materials, with exposure to fumes, extreme temperatures, noise, and high heat near operating machinery. Outdoor work conditions may vary with weather.
Some duties require the use of personal protective equipment, including hard hats, safety glasses, eye protection, air masks / respirators, ear protection, chemical suits, flame-resistant clothing (FRC), hot gloves, high-voltage protective gear, and fall protection. Fit testing for respirators may be necessary. Strict smoking restrictions apply on site.
Fitness for Duty
All personnel will participate in the Fitness for Duty Program, which includes a post-offer physical examination, drug screening, and post-employment random drug screening.
Work Schedule
The Tipper Operator's schedule rotates weekly, alternating between first shift (5 : 00am2 : 30pm) and second shift (2 : 30pm12 : 00am). This position will also occasionally necessitate extended working hours and flexible shifts as needed, including weekends and holidays, in response to schedules, workload demands, and plant conditions. Periodic callouts or "On call" status may also be required.
Compensation
This position offers a base pay rate of $20 per hour, along with an annual performance bonus.
