Job Duties :
Technically proficient Mid-Level Site Reliability Engineer, focusing on the stability, performance, and scalability of Apigee API platform environments. This role bridges the gap between development and operations, applying software engineering principles to operational challenges.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Experience : 7+ years of experience in a Support, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering role, with significant focus on API management platforms.
- Apigee Proficiency : Strong hands-on experience in managing, configuring, and troubleshooting the Apigee platform (API Proxies, Policies, Target Endpoints, Shared Flows, etc.).
- Coding / Scripting : Proficiency in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, Shell Scripting) for automation and tooling.
- API Fundamentals : Deep understanding of RESTful API design principles, architecture, and common security standards (e.g., OAuth 2.0, JWT, API Keys, mTLS).
- Cloud & Infrastructure : Familiarity with cloud platforms (GCP preferred, or AWS / Azure) and fundamental concepts of infrastructure (networking, load balancing, DNS).
- Observability : Practical experience with implementing and optimizing monitoring and logging solutions.
- CI / CD : Experience integrating Apigee deployments into a Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment (CI / CD) pipeline.
- Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) is highly desirable, especially in an Apigee Hybrid or Apigee X environment.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools like Terraform or Ansible.
- Knowledge of network security concepts (firewalling, IP address management, TLS / SSL).
- Apigee certification (e.g., Apigee Certified API Engineer) preferred
