Pay Range : The pay range for this role is $27.52 per hour

Actual base pay will be determined based on permissible factors such as transferable skills, work experience, market demands and primary work location. The base pay range provided is subject to change and may be modified in the future.

Position Overview

The Security Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the physical security and safety of SAP Center at San Jose, Sharks Ice at San Jose and Tech CU Arena, scheduling the 24-hour security staff, training, enforcement of policies and procedures, and making rounds to guard against unauthorized entry and activities. This position is to oversee the operations of the overnight security team working generally from 10 : 00pm – 6 : 00am, five days a week based on event schedules at SAP Center, Sharks Ice at San Jose and Tech CU Arena.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

Supervision

• Supervise admission to SAP Center at San Jose in general and especially during events by overseeing 24-hour security staff and performing magnetometer and bags checks, checking ID cards, and credentials of employees and others, interfacing with employees, the public and all vendors in the Arena.
• Hire, train, schedule, assign, and coach and counsel 24 Hour Security staff.
• Process payroll and maintain current schedules within the ABI system.
• Ensure adequate staff coverage for all incoming calls and persons.
• Develop and implement procedures, policies, and systems for all security / safety related incidents / contingencies and train staff on their responsibilities while carrying them out.
• Work with management to determine the need for and implement programs to attain a sufficient number of staff with CPR and Basic First Aid training / certification.
• Enforce facility policies including safety, facility access, loss prevention and other relevant tasks.
