Job Description
The Family Nurse Practitioner provides consultation, diagnosis, treatment, and health education under supervision, primarily in outpatient settings.
- Responsibilities include patient exams, medical history, diagnostic testing, therapeutic procedures, developing care plans, prescribing medications, and ensuring documentation accuracy within regulatory standards.
- Supervises nursing staff and student practitioners, participates in quality assurance, and collaborates with a multidisciplinary team.
- Requires current California NP license, AANP and DEA certifications, RN license, BLS certification, and preferred 2+ years clinical experience.
- Must possess strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills, with flexibility, problem-solving abilities, and cultural competence.
- Physical demands include exposure to biological hazards, lifting up to 25 lbs, and dexterity for fine motor tasks. The schedule is typically Monday–Friday, with occasional Saturdays, and travel to other clinics may be required.
- Compensation ranges from $65.00 to $80.00 per hour, with full-time, in-person work.
