About the Role
The Vice President Investment Banking - Specialty Insurance will be responsible for managing a broad range of M&A and capital-markets transactions within the specialty insurance segment of the Financial Institutions Group (FIG). You will be responsible for driving deal execution (sell-side and buy-side), overseeing financial modelling, valuation analysis, pitch book creation and investor presentations. You will build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects and other industry stakeholders, act as a key point of contact through the transaction lifecycle, and mentor junior bankers on aspects such as due diligence, structuring and closing. You will also support business development initiatives and identify new opportunities in specialty insurance (e.g., MGAs, MGUs, InsurTech, niche carriers), as well as prepare marketing materials, and collaborate with senior management to expand the firms footprint in the sector.
The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelors degree in finance, economics or a related field (MBA or other advanced degree preferred) and bring a minimum of 6 years experience in investment banking, transaction advisory or financial services M&A within the FIG sector, ideally with a focus on specialty insurance. You should have proven track-record leading multi-disciplinary deal teams, strong technical skills in modelling, valuation and presentation, excellent communication and client-management skills, and the ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment. Possession of relevant licenses (e.g., Series 79 / 63) is advantageous or willingness to obtain.
