ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in Alexandria, Louisiana.

RN Position Job Notes :

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity : RN - ED ER

Job Details :

  • Work 12-hour day shifts from 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 00 PM
  • Clinical ED experience required
  • Every other weekend requirement
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • No floating required
  • Nurse to patient ratio of 4 : 1
  • Blocked scheduling attempted but not guaranteed
  • Temporary to permanent position possibility available
  • Required certifications : Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification via AHA
  • De-Escalation (CPI) certification required
  • RN License in state of employment or compact required
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
  • One year of experience in related nursing specialty preferred
  • Must attend New Nurses Orientation within first 30 days of hire
  • Preceptorship with designated trained staff member required
  • Must complete organizational entry competency validation and Emergency Department-specific competency validation
  • Care for very high acuity patients including heavy load of strokes, cardiovascular, diabetes, wounds, behavioral health and sepsis cases
  • Some trauma cases but not a trauma designated unit
  • Provide routine and complex nursing care using nursing process including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention and evaluation
  • Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side-effects and effectiveness
  • Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care provided
  • Assess learning needs and provide education to patients and families
