Clinical Responsibilities :

Inpatient Consultations : Comprehensive surgical consultation services for hospitalized patients

Outpatient Clinic & Inpatient Consults

will cover 2 ministries.

Emergency Coverage : Participation in trauma and emergency surgical care as part of the regional call system

Outpatient Services : Clinic-based consultations and follow-up care

Multidisciplinary Collaboration : Work closely with primary care physicians, specialists, and advanced practice providers

Required Qualifications :

MD or DO degree from an accredited institution

Completion of an accredited General Surgery residency program

Board certification or board eligibility in General Surgery

Valid Illinois medical license or the ability to obtain

Hospital privileges or the ability to obtain

Preferred Qualifications :

Fellowship training in relevant subspecialty

Experience with robotic surgery platforms

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement

Compensation for this role is based on a variety of factors including relevant experience, medical specialty, labor market, and other qualifications.

The posted pay range for this position is what SSM Health reasonably expects, in good faith, to offer based on the circumstances at the time of posting.
