About The Position

Job Title : Resource Pool Registered Nurse

Profession : Registered Nurse

Specialty : Step Down

Duration : 13 weeks, with an option to extend

Shift : Night

Hours per Shift : 12 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years in PCU / Step Down nursing, with experience in managing patient ratios of 1 : 5.

License : Active nursing license required

Certifications : BLS and ACLS required

Must-Have :

• Experience using Epic as an RN
• Comfort with float assignments to various units

Description :

We are seeking a Resource Pool Registered Nurse to provide nursing care in a step down unit.

The ideal candidate should have experience working both PCU / Step Down and medical-surgical units.

Additional coverage for critical care and emergency department with qualifying competencies may be required.

Nurses may be reassigned to different units as staffing needs change every four hours.

The Resource Pool team is integral in supporting the overall hospital staffing requirements.

Candidates must be willing to work assigned shifts including one holiday per every 13-week assignment, and two holidays during winter holiday season.

All requests for time off must be submitted upfront with the application.

Travelers living within a certain distance from the facility are not eligible for this position.

Previous employees must have a minimum separation period before returning as travelers.

Any exceptions to the separation policy will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
