- Additional details, if any (please list any floating requirements here) : Cardiology / surgical patient care experience helpful. This RN will help support patient education for pre-surgery patients, release lab orders, and triage patient phone calls, so they will need to have enough experience to recognize patient distress and collaborate with the providers. They will primarily be in the ambulatory clinic rooming patients for their consults / post op visits, completing med reconciliation, allergies, taking vitals, setting up Home Health with DME orders for supplies, setting up anti-coag step down medication management per patient discharge / physician post op orders for patients living in rural areas. This Cardiothoracic Surgical practice is the ambulatory side of CT surgery at Sacred Heart Medical Center. This facility straddles the inpatient and ambulatory world, collaborating closely with our partners in the hospital such as those in CARA, the 6th floor telemetry unit, the Cardiovascular OR, and the CICU. Our clinic feeds the funnel of procedures by providing ambulatory visits and follow up care for patients who need Heart surgery, Heart transplant, Mechanical Circulatory Devices, Lung cancer and thoracic cancer surgery. The RNs work closely in the clinic with the Mid-Level Team (11 Mid-Levels), and the Surgeons (8 surgeons), as well as the administrative staff of Patient Coordinators and nurse team members to care for a large geographic region of patients in the Inland Northwest.
