Job Description
Brimley Area Schools is seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Paraprofessional to join our team. This position involves providing support to classroom teachers and assisting in creating a positive learning environment for our students. The successful candidate will be instrumental in helping students achieve their educational goals and will work closely with teachers and staff throughout the school year.
Key Responsibilities :
Assist the classroom teacher with instructional activities and reinforcement of educational materials.
Support individual students or small groups to improve academic, social, and behavioral skills.
Supervise students during non-classroom activities, such as lunch, recess, and field trips.
Aid in the preparation of instructional materials, lesson plans, and classroom organization.
Monitor and assist students with special needs, providing accommodations as needed.
Provide a positive and supportive learning environment for all students.
Assist with classroom management and behavior interventions when necessary.
Communicate effectively with teachers, staff, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
Perform other duties as assigned by the classroom teacher or school administration.
Qualifications :
High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
Experience working with children or in an educational setting is preferred.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
Patience, flexibility, and a passion for helping students succeed.
Associated Degree or successful completion of the Michigan Work Keys Test
