Job description

Hardware Technician – Electrical wiring, Electronics – Automotive related

Must Have Technical / Functional Skills

  • Basic knowledge of Electronics – understanding of what / how / why.
  • Entry level wire harness knowledge – Crimping, connector types, gauge, etc.
  • Exposure to Linux / Shell environments.
  • Someone that can learn quickly and expand in their knowledge.

Pluses :

  • Automotive Trade school, equivalent training and / or experience.
  • Automotive and / or electronics diagnostics experience.
  • Basic Fabrication Skills – Cutting metal / wood, using power tools to make simple parts.
  • Familiar with electronic design, oscilloscope usage, DMM measurements.

    • Roles & Responsibilities

    Flexible and self-motivated technician to support Hardware Engineering.

    Scope :

  • Collaborate on & assemble test platforms - Create the “Stuff” that enables HW to be utilized in a lab.

    • Including but not limited to - Fixturing, wiring, cooling.

  • Design / assemble wire harnesses.
  • Capture, escalate, & diagnose HW & SW issues encountered when commissioning & maintaining test platforms.

    • Education : High School / Diploma / Technical training / Degree

    Salary Range : $74,000-$115,000 a year
