SUMMARY
Our manufacturing client is seeking an Assistant Controller that will managing and oversee the accounting operations. The company is looking for someone analytically minded, solid attention to detail, skills in operational accounting, streamlining processes, and experience working in the manufacturing industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage monthly and quarterly close processes, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and oversight of key accounting activities.
- Facilitate close meetings to drive coordination and alignment across cross-functional teams.
- Oversee a wide range of operational accounting functions, including payroll, procurement, equity, accruals, fixed assets, inventory, and revenue-related activities.
- Maintain and enhance internal controls, policies, and procedures to support compliance and mitigate risk.
- Supervise and mentor a team of direct and indirect reports, fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including auditors and legal teams, to support reporting and compliance initiatives.
- Manage internal control documentation and testing to ensure alignment with SOX 404 and regulatory standards.
- Develop, implement, and update accounting policies in response to evolving business and regulatory requirements.
- Serve as a strategic partner across the organization to support financial integrity and business goals.
QUALIFICATIONS
BA / BS degree in Accounting or Finance required.CPA or CPA in process strongly preferred ideally from a public accounting background.9+ years of accounting experience and 3+ years supervisory experience required.Proven experience with accounting operations.Experience working in the manufacturing environment required.Must have strong organizational, leadership, and interpersonal skills.Highly proficient with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.Strong focus on accuracy, attention to detail and meeting deadlines.Have strong communications skills, including the ability to work collaboratively and build strong relationships.Experience building and improving accounting process.SALARY & BENEFITS
Salary for this position is between $175,000 - $220,000 depending upon experience plus bonus.Competitive benefits package, PTO, and additional programs.IND1
