Job description

Job Title : Maintenance Technician

Location : 100 Medical Pkwy, Lakeway, TX 78738 (Onsite)

Duration : 5+ Months Contract

Hours : M-F 8am - 5pm

Overview of Work Environment / Client Nuances :

Working in a hospital / Lakeway campus

Because this is customer / client facing, candidate will need to dress appropriately

Team Overview :

Candidate will initially be working with a team, then will work independently

Resource's typical working day :

Check in with lead and start on work orders

There will be a variety of tasks

  • Painting
  • Basic electrical
  • Basic plumbing
  • General maintenance

Must Have Skills : Great people skills

Must have excellent painting skills

Nice to have skills :

Plumbing skills

Years of Experience :

1-2

Education

H.S. diploma or GED

Software skills :

Basic computer skills

Interview Process : 1 on-site interview

About the Role :

  • As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining small to medium-sized buildings, industrial systems, and equipment.
  • This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
  • What You ll Do :

  • Perform ongoing preventive maintenance and repairs on mechanical, electrical, and other building systems.
  • Conduct routine maintenance inspections, diagnose potential problems, and make repairs.
  • Assist with the installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
  • Review assigned work orders and partner with available systems to track completion.
  • Support energy management by ensuring all building systems are operating efficiently.
  • Inspect existing installations for compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
  • Use existing procedures to solve straightforward problems. Exchange straightforward information in a clear, concise manner.
  • Impact team through defined duties, methods and tasks as described in detail.
  • Deliver own output by following defined procedures and processes under close supervision and guidance.
  • What You ll Need :

  • High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
  • Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders, and the ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
  • Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
  • Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products. Examples include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.
  • Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
